New Dasha: Padanathamsa

The usually secret PadaNathAmsha Dasha, sometimes called Padanadhamsa or Padanadhvamsa, is now available in Shri Jyoti Star V9. This is a rashi or sign dasha related to Narayana or Chara Dasha and derived from the Maharishi Jaimini Upadesha Sutras. It is based on the position of the Pada Nath (Arudha Lagna lord) in the Navamsha chart. A deep and complex Dasha, there are different opinions about the method of calculation. In Shri Jyoti Star, you can try different variations. If you follow Pandit Sanjay Rath’s lineage, then use these settings:

Here is how you set up for the Dasha as taught by KN Rao. This largely follows the teaching of Iranganti Rangacharya in his book Jaimini Sutramritam. Please note that it does not matter how you spell the name of the Dasha when searching for these settings.
