Tantra
Tantra is very subtle and rarely understood. It means to stretch. Consciousness is stretched and expands and becomes more subtle from a firm determination not to hang on or grasp anything. 'This is mine', 'I want this' are habitual tendencies that arise and if owned or grasped invariably ruin life. This is most obvious in relationship but is true at all times.
Awakening to the higher reality is possible on one's own but very rare. The benefit of being able to sit with a nervous system that is deeply soaked in that state, that vibrates with that way of Being, can not be over emphasised. This inspires that way of Being inside oneself. However, one should be aware that that way of Being has no agenda so in order to fall in love with it (as one naturally does) all one's own agendas have to be put down. This is why only a few seek out a true Master. If we are really honest, we know that our agendas are of no use to us but somehow we tend to hang on to them.
