Some nearby hotels (within a C$10 taxi ride or short bus ride): Fantasyland Hotel, West Edmonton Mall Inn. A little further away is a brand new Hilton with free high speed internet, etc. At all these hotels, ask for the Corporate rate. Call me if you need help (1-877-484-7474). Or check out the Interactive Map. I will try to coordinate so participants are located in the same places.
Classes will be for 5-6 hours per day. We may arrange to finish early on Sunday if people need to catch flights. If you want a great vacation, think of staying a few extra days and visiting the Rockies - an easy 4 hour drive from Edmonton. Edmonton is typically gorgeous at this time of year. (Current weather info)
How to get here: There are flights into Edmonton International from many US cities and overseas usually via another N. American city such as Calgary if travelling by Air Canada. When you get here, a cab to one of the hotels mentioned above costs about C$50. A cheaper way to go is to take the Sky Shuttle. Here is a timetable and list of the hotels (it does go to the Hilton) served in the West End of the city where the course will be. An open return ticket costs C$20. It is an excellent service. They have a desk in the arrivals area and the shuttle goes from just outside the door by the desk. Like all Canadians, they are very helpful. There is only one airport shuttle service.
